Clean Your Liver. Change Your Life.

Clean Your Liver. Change Your Life.

A healers story at the Rejuvenation and Performance Institute. Clean your liver. Change your life.

In a remote Arizona desert town you will find the unexpected. The first is a beautiful flowing creek in the middle of the mountain sand and the other is the Puma that resides there. Although, I must tell you, without a few hints, the search for this Puma will be long. Rather than finding a cougar, the Puma we seek is a vibrant woman with two long golden braids and physically resembles little of her namesake. Yet, as she will tell you the spirit of the animal is all her. Introducing Puma St. Angel, co-founder of the Grace Grove Retreat Center and the Rejuvenation and Performance Institute.

Just outside of Sedona, Arizona in a place called Cornville, your search will be complete. There you will find Ms. Puma and maybe even the inspiration for your own health and wellbeing. Puma and her husband Morgan founded Grace Grove as a retreat center for those desiring rejuvenation and health. Puma began life as Shauna. Nine years ago on her own journey of spirituality and health, Shauna was led to Amsterdam on an astrological journey. While there she found herself wandering into the only raw juice bar she could find. She had also wandered into one of those moments that change a life. That moment came on her birthday by way of a hello from an old shaman at the juice bar. His wise eyes looked at her, and said “Hello Puma” and proceeded to tell her nuances of her life that only she would know. She described her “jaw hitting the floor”. Throughout their days together, he gifted her with this name and Puma she has been ever since.

Puma began eating and learning about raw cuisine in the late 90’s. She honed her skills at Eden Hot Springs and The Tree of Life Center. Understanding that a healed gut is the key to all health, she became a colon hydro therapist. She speaks of her spiritual calling and tells me “if we are meant to do something… it will just line up.” And that is exactly what happened. In May 2006, she met her now husband Morgan and by the same time next year Grace Grove retreat center was born. At her center you will spend dedicated time to cleaning your body and spirit. Puma specializes in liver cleanse as a catalyst for transformation. We spoke about the glow that comes over people as they clean their physical bodies and in turn allow the emotions to release and transform.

Ms. Puma specializes in what she calls “an easiest most graceful cleanse”. This isn’t to say it will be simple. Our livers are the processing center for our bodies. They filter our blood and rid our bodies of toxins. Our livers, just like our car or home filters, need cleaning so they don’t get clogged. Puma provides her clients love, support, supplements, and raw food designed to naturally and gently allow a body to activate its own divine healing power. Guests at Grace Grove are led through Shamanic Breath Ceremony, meditation, and yoga. They are encouraged to scream, laugh, cry… whatever it takes. Because emotional and physical healing are partners in the same song.

Grace Grove attracts a wide variety of people looking to heal their physical, and ultimately their emotional lives. Some have significant health diagnosis. Others may be looking for that next level of physical health or to lose weight. Many just because they know the process is life changing.

The eclectic environment created by Puma was also carefully selected for healing support. She lovingly added every piece to the center from the inspirational pavers to what I have termed the magic water machine. Each room is named after an earth element. You can even walk outside and grab your favorite fruit from her pear, peach, and apple trees. A large horse stands outside to greet you. His power reminding you of your own.

As life often brings messages in many forms, Puma and I found ourselves sharing a common understanding. One that LoveSelf is based on… This beautiful idea that “food is a catalyst for transformation”. In other words self love inspires love for each other.

Puma is often described by those close to her as the Puma Mama. The nurturer the mother to all. Are you seeking an eclectic retreat and a place of health and rejuventation? If so, reach out to Ms. Puma Mama because as she states “If you want to change the world, you have to change yourself first”.
